FemmeMentor is an independent editorial site for women. We collect as little about you as we can, and we never sell it. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

FemmeMentor (femmementor.com), based in Finland. For anything about your personal data, write to hello@femmementor.com.

What we collect, and why

  • Your email address, if you subscribe. We use it to send the Focus Checklist you asked for and our weekly letter. The legal basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.

  • What you send us. If you email us or use a contact form, we keep your name, address and message so we can reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.

  • How the site is used. With your consent, Google Analytics 4 and Squarespace's own analytics record which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what device they use. We look at this in aggregate, to decide what to write next. We do not try to identify you.

  • Affiliate clicks. Some articles contain affiliate links through the AWIN network. When you click one, AWIN and the retailer record that the visit came from FemmeMentor, so that a commission can be paid if you buy. We never see your name or what you bought. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of services to run the site. Each processes data only to provide its service:

  • Squarespace — hosts the site, stores subscriber emails and form messages, and sends our newsletter.

  • Google (Google Analytics 4) — site statistics, only after you accept analytics cookies.

  • AWIN and the retailers it works with — tracking of affiliate clicks.

  • Pinterest and Instagram — only if you use a share button or follow a link to those platforms; their own privacy policies then apply.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
